The Barony of Thescorre once again invites one and all to attend their annual Pax Interruptus - the Interruption of the Peace and preparation for War! The site opens at 6:00pm on Friday July 9th and closes at noon on Sunday July 11th.The site offers many wonderful amenities and plenty of space!

This year we are once again hosting a torchlight tournament Friday night. On Saturday we will be running the usual War Practice melees for the heavy fighters, as well as fencing, archery, thrown weapons, Hound Coursing, youth combat and fencing, youth archery, and a variety of classes and other activities as suits our fancy. Their Excellencies of Thescorre will be selecting Their Baronial Champions in fencing, archery, thrown weapons, and bardic. Court and an evening of bardic activities will round out the day.

The site provides flush toilets and showers, a swimming pool (modern swimming attire required and children must be supervised), playground, and a camp store that provides groceries, ice, and wood. Note that while the showers and toilets are handicapped accessible, the campground is hilly with gravel roads. The site is discretely damp. The camping area has picnic tables, water spigots, and fire rings already in place (bring your own wood or obtain wood from the camp store).

Dogs are welcome on leash and must be cleaned up after; owners must have proof of license and vaccination. The costs for this event are:

Camping $6.00 per adult per night, $4.00 per minor age 5-18, under 5 free.
Day visitors only $3.00 per person age 10 to adult, under 10 free.
Those without SCA membership cards will be expected to pay the $3.00 surcharge at the door.

Directions:

From the East or West, take your best route to the New York State Thruway and exit 42, Geneva/Lyons. After the toll booths, go straight through the traffic light onto Rt. 318 East. Approximately 0.5 miles, turn left onto W. Townline Road. At the end of the road, turn right into the campground.

From the southern tier, travel north on Rt. 96. In the village of Waterloo, Rt. 96 crosses Rt. 5 at a traffic light, then makes a sharp left turn at a stop sign. Approximately 5.3 miles after the turn, turn right onto Pre-emption Road. At the end of Pre-emption Road, turn right onto Rt. 318 and immediately left onto W. Townline Road. At the end of the road, turn right into the campground.
