Mistress Aleea Bagah: Aleea Bagah (Mongolian for Little Mischief) is the wife of Kadan Chakhilghan. His service to Kublai Khan in China pleases Aleea since she prefers Chinese cooking and having easy access to silk brocades.

Marcy McDonald started playing in the SCA in 1984. She has lived her entire life in Pittsburgh. Working part time in an embroidery shop allows her to spend time with family and explore her artistic side.

Dehka: Dehka has been studying middle-eastern dance since 1981. She founded her first performance troupe in december of 1990 called The Darbuka dance Troupe in Batavia NY. Darbuka performed on stage and at festivals until 1999. Dehka has traveled to learn from many masters of mid-eastern dance including several week-long intensives. She is forever a student, because, there is always a new style to explore. In 2001 Dehka was instumental in establishing a dance company based in Buffalo NY called The Hipchiks. The Hipchiks is a collaberation of individual dance artists. The Hipchiks create and perform various choreographies, that promote bellydance as an artform as well as entertainment. Currently, Dehka also directs a small but mighty troupe in Batavia as well.

THL Maria Pienkneplotno: Maria P. is a Polish fabric merchant living in the Italian city states between 1495 and 1580 or thereabouts. She does the buying for the business and switches back and forth between Venice and Florence …where the ‘good stuff’ is. Upon occasion, she will take to the merchant booth to immerse hers elf in the sensuous fabric fondling and cutthroat haggling that give life its meaning. (Dragon’s Magic at Pennsic)
Linda Learn is a retired art teacher, artist, and mundane fabric merchant (Class Act Fabrics). Also known as “Dan’s Mom”.

Dona Alessandra Bentivegna da Faenza, called Yasmina: Within the Society I am a 16th Century Italian Merchant living in Venice. I am a fencer & Rapier Marshal for the Barony of Thescorre, and my addictions include calligraphy, illumination & wordsmithing, jewelry making, beading, crochet, costuming, lucet, and choral singing... and currently a deputy Baronial Herald who much more prefers crying Court than doing research! In Modern life I am an IT Support Technician and sing with RIT's choral ensemble... with a great deal of arts & crafts crossover from the SCA.

Lord Pearce Redsmythe, SOL, FBV: I have been in the SCA for ten years. My original home is the Kingdom of Atenveldt, where I am honored to be included in the Fellowship of the Boar Vert, and the Order of the Fleur du Soleil, the awards of excellence in the teaching and practice of the Arts & Sciences, for the Barony of Tir Ysgithr and the Kingdom of Atenveldt respectively. I am a past Baronial Champion and Minister of A&S of the Barony of Tir Ysgithr. Since my move to Æthelmearc 5 years ago, I have served a stint as Minister of A&S for the Dominion (Shire) of Myrkfaelinn, I have taught many classes at different events, and I am a past winner of the Individual A&S Pentathlon at the Festival of the Passing of the Ice Dragon in the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael, having entered but one item that qualified in 5 different categories. My most especial areas of creative endeavor are fine metalwork and leatherwork, and the creation of elaborate subtleties. Examples of my handiwork can be found in and on the hands, around the waists, wrists and necks, and on the armor, accoutrements, chests and heads of unnumerable gentles, peers and royal peers throughout the SCA, as well as in Kingdom regalia.

Master Bedwyr Danwyn: Bedwyr is a Dark Age doctor who lives in Wales. Due to the current plague business is good, and Bedwyr lives a comfortable life.

Lord Iain mac an Bhaird: Iain grew up as the son of a merchant and artisan in the Hebrides. As well as having inherited his mother's artistic eye (which he currently expresses in wood and leather), he has taken up brewing and continues his various martial practices. Though often seen in transit on one errand or another, he always finds the time to share his skills and knowledge with others. Jonathan Baird grew up as the son of the merchant and artisan Bediah Baird of Celtic Folkworks. His interests range through many artistic pursuits and martial activities (archery being a life-long hobby), though he may be more often seen just running around seeing to the duties of his various offices.

Lady Gytha Oggsdottir: Gytha is a Viking married to a very busy Celt. She is very busy her self raising children and helping to run a large household. She has been trained to defend her home with both bow and arrow, and spear. Lori Baird has a wide variety of interests and offices. Her specialties are the Vikings and trying to get people to dance. She has been known to take the field with both combat archery and spear, or can be found marshalling either youth combat or thrown weapons. If nothing else you can find her at children's activities playing with her two kids.

Master John the Pell: Master John joined the SCA just in time for Pennsic 9, and has only missed one since. During that time he has served as Warlord of the western region of the East Kingdom/Principality of AEthelmearc/Kingdom of AEthelmearc about 15+ times. He is best known for planning Field Battles and has done so about 10 times along with assorted bridge battles and the sole boat battle.

Lady Beatrice de Winter: Lady Beatrice de Winter is a 14th century coroner from somewhere near London, England, currently residing in the Rhydderich Hael. Her alter ego, Cathy Ullman, is a NYS Certified Fire Investigator who volunteers with the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit. She has a keen interest in the fledgling forensic sciences of the time, and has studied the practices of every place for which she can find information.

Baroness Dame Katja Davidova Orlova Khazarina: Katja is an 11th Century Khazar Jewess living in Ityl-Khazaran. In the SCA, she enjoys cooking, baking, dancing, researching, archery, and learning new Kumihimo patterns.

Baron Master Fridrikr Tomasson av Knussling Hamn: Fridrikr Tomasson is a 13th century Norseman and a landholder. Tom Ireland-Delfs is a retired teacher currently working as a bookseller.

Mistress Brianna McBain: Mistress Brianna is a real-world state and federally licensed falconer, a founding member of Saint Bavon's Company (an inter-kingdom falconry fellowship) and has currently been commissioned by the British Heritage Society to recreate a set of period falconry gear to be part of a permanent display.

Lady Helene al-Zarqa’: Lady Helene al-Zarqa' is the daughter of a wealthy Greek merchant living under Ottoman rule outside of Constantinople, where she is most often found dancing and making up her own songs. Within the context of the greater Society, Lady Helene al-Zarqa' became deeply involved with the Barony of Delftwood almost as soon as she joined about 5 years ago. She has been the Chronicler for the Barony of Defltwood for over three years, with other interests in heraldry, scribal artwork, and dance. She is a former Sylvan Bard of AEthelmearc and twice-over former Bardic Champion of the Barony of Delftwood. More mundanely, I hold a BA in English from the University of Rochester with a minor in History.

Lord Eldjarn the Thoughtful: Have been playing hard in SCA ~6 years and dancing the whole time. Also do brewing, archery, drumming, scribal, & cooking among others... Have been an Ice Dragon judge 3 times and very much enjoy encouraging fine arts (& sciences!) wherever there is interest. I love to laugh and enjoy hiking, skiing, & racquetball... oh, wait, wrong bio... :S

Lady Bronwyn nic Gregor: As a 12th century Scot I enjoy being in the SCA with my husband and two children who are apparently neither 12th century nor Scottish. In my mundane life I am a middle school librarian. In addition to a husband and two children I share my home with two geriatric cats and a kitten. I enjoy reading, watching old comedies, and needlework. The days are full.

Mistress Rhiannon y Bwa: Rhiannon is a 14th century Welshwoman who keeps body and soul together by selling fancy silk buttons and purses. In modern life, Lois is an independent researcher who became interested in the needlewrought thread coverings and narrow wares on medieval/renaissance bookmarkers.

THL Guenevere Katherine at Trails End: Guenevere Katherine is a 14th century Englishwoman living on a manor outside of London.

THL Pleasance de Coignieres: Pleasance is a 14th century French seamstress who lives in Paris. She enjoys her sewing and dabbling in calligraphy and illumination at her sister Baroness Mistress Una de Saint Luc’s illumination shop down the street.

Mistress Euriol of Lothian, OP: Euriol is a 13th Scot brought up in the court of Joan of England (Queen of Scotland). Euriol was often found in the Kitchen, enjoying learning about food from the cooks. As she grew older, she found a home in the Kingdom of the West, but found time to travel to various courts and almost always sneaking in the kitchen. Thus began Euriol's education into French, Italian, Spanish & German cuisines. After many years Euriol found herself in the Sylvan Kingdom of AEthelmearc, and with her companions & protector, Euriol can usually be found in the kitchen happily cooking away. Cassandra Baldassano is a Sr. Software Developer, but learned a love of cooking at an early age from both her Parents & Step Parents.

Daedez Dalbuuryn, Khan of the Dark Horde Moritu: Her Dread Eloquence, Daedez Khan, is the Mongolian reincarnation of an Irish noblewoman, and it only gets more khanvoluted from there. Don’t worry about it. All you need to remember is that a saddle gets you no where without a horse beneath it. Steal the horse first.

(Okay, so you note a strong resemblance to Baroness Mistress Daedra McBeth A Gryphon, who teaches, tells stories, calligraphs and has been around at least as long as wood… Ahem! I told you it was khanvoluted. Still no need to be alarmed..)

THL John Michael Thorpe: Captain John Michael Thorpe is a privateer captain in service to Her Majesty Elizabeth Regina in the year of our lord 1588. He is currently sailing his 100 ton (72 foot LOA 16 gun)race built ship, the Golden Rose with Drake and Hawkins in defense of England (and hopes of prizes!) When ashore he resides at the Saracen's Head Tavern near Alder's Gate,
London.

THL John Michael Thorpe has been in the SCA 26 years, starting out as a heavy fighter at 15 (back when you could actually do that) then a fencer, fencing marshal, and group seneschal. He founded the Royal guild of AEthelmearc Metalsmiths during the reign of Malcolm II and Tessa II.
Page Steinhardt has been Metalsmithing one way or another for 21 years, (mostly self taught, but went to work in a jewelry repair shop at 19 for a year to learn and refine skills, and has worked as a bench goldsmith professionally) and knifemaker.

Baroness Mistress Sadira bint Wassouf: Sadira is an Arabic woman who runs a spice business in Florence Italy around 1450 and cooks whenever possible. Pat Chakalis is a German Arabic woman who teaches English for Speakers of Other Languages and cooks whenever possible.

THL Solveig Throndardottir: A 9th century norse woman who got lost in a library and arrived in pre-modern Japan.

Lady Katherine Sinclaire: Katherine Sinclaire is a 16th century, French-born noblewoman currently residing at the Scottish court. Cheryl Greenstein is a professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of Pittsburgh. She has been playing in the SCA for 12 years and considers herself ‘more of an embelisher’ than a costumer.

THL Bridgette Kelly MacLean: Bridgette Kelly MacLean resides in Peterhead, Scotland in the year 1580. Daughter of the burough’s judge she is by trade a linen worker. Mari Stewart works at Cornell University and is an independent researcher.

Lady Ghislaine Barbelion: I love sleeping. When I'm awake, I teach singing and play piano for a living. In my spare time, I like to learn new things. I write music, perform, and toodle around on harp, bowed psaltery, guitar, and recorder. My brain's biggest addiction is designing mathematical and geometric tesselating puzzle-artwork based on square roots. (If you would like to see what the square root of three looks like, you might like to test one of my puzzles.)

Lady Bryn ni MacRose: Toni Erwin has been playing in kitchens since she was old enough to see over the kitchen table. Bryn Ni MacRose is head of cooks guild in Thescorre and is slowly working on cooking in every kingdom of the known world.

Lord Otfrid Ammerthaler: Otfrid Ammerthaler is a wandering scholar in 13th Century Bavaria, taking what teaching jobs he can get. Francis Herman wandered into an SCA event 24 years ago and never really came back out. When not pursuing heraldry, he tries to do worthwhile things, like singing, dancing, and studying the history of science and mathematics.

Baroness Juliana Rosalia Dolce di Siena:

Maestro Brian [“Scoop”]: Maestro Brian is a not-so-well-to-do son of a 16th Century English merchant, whose hand-me-downs that he wears still scream 11th to 12th Century. He has served AEthelmearc for many years including as Kingdom Cartographer, and stints as Golden Alce Herald and 1st Kingdom Archivist.

Baron Diego Miguel Munoz de Castilla: I joined the SCA in the shire of Blacklake (Midland/ Odessa, TX) in Ansteorra in August of 1989. I moved to the Barony of Stargate (Houston, TX) in 1990. I joined into the period fencing or rapier combat. While I was in Stargate, several friends and I discovered the process that I cover in this class. In August of 1996, I went to my first Pennsic (Pennsic XXIV) and moved to Coppertree the following Spring. Since I moved to Coppertree, I have been very active in the Rapier Community. I have held regional or kingdom level marshalet positions in three kingdoms, including Principality Schalger Marshal for AEthelemearc, Kingdom Rapier Marshall for AEthelmearc, Regional marshal for Region 5 in AEthelmearc, and depurty regional marshal for the Coastal Region in Ansteorra. I wrote the first set of AEthelmearc Rules of the List for Rapier Combat, was most active in helping to create and build the Order of the White Scarf in AEthelmearc.
